2012 December 25 (Tuesday) : Family Values 002

We wake up early again and chat around the breakfast table once more.  The Lord shows me an investment opportunity, then another Spanish lesson, then more family arrives from Creston – Police officers!  I am delighted to meet them and I tell them that I actually looked for US police departments on Facebook back in 2009, such was my frustration with the ZRP.  I describe the US20-USD200 blowing red light fine comparison and they are incredulous how people stand to live in such situations.  We speak good naturedly and my princess I see is now visibly excited, her dreams of finally introducing a worthwhile guy to her family now finally coming true for her.  I am so privileged that words are no longer adequate.

I laugh at the cat – Tiger, who meows at the door to be let out and since we are now below freezing pretty much gets outside and meows to be let in!  Prince Steve has brought vanilla coke!  Tiffany smiles at my crazy request – to try vanilla coke before I go back.  I understand it is at Wal-Mart here in Creston and we agree to get some if our schedule allows.  More food is made and I marvel at how people here really know how to live, to enjoy family and friends at these special times of the year.  Prince Steve has recently graduated into the police force and this is the family that Kim speaks highly of, who has her back and who will be looking after her in my absence.  I describe how I already have three potential jobs in Chicago and Rockton and they seem pleased.  I am fitting in like a hand in a glove already and I have never felt a sense of even slight apprehension.  Wow. 

I am thrilled and excited to discover what the Lord has in store.  I receive a concerned Skype from a brother in Christ, prince John, who puts me in touch with a top notch contact in Chicago.  I email this contact immediately, for I understand that the Lord is in everything I am doing here.  I pledge that I will visit this contact, come what may, for I can see how the Lord has moved through my entire life for me.  I used to argue with this Prince John back in high school while I had my mind clouded with the lies of the New Age movement and now here I am with a princess and an unclouded mind and Prince John has eight arrows in his quiver.  Wow. 

What a blessing to be able to look forward to life again, to hope, to dream, to finally see from God’s perspective! We spend the day at another awesome, carpeted mansion in Creston and heaven comes back to earth!  Children playing, a dog is close by – in a bathroom so as not to be too excited by the children!  Wonderful people and a wonderful time.  I share my language vision with CJ – a relaxed man who looks to be a great father.  Even though there have been other hearts broken in this place, other wounded Princesses, there is hope, for the Lord is close by, in the very rooms of this place.  Laughing, chattering, boys wrestling each other.  Food for all and far too much!  Great abundance and such a privilege to see this on this earth after so much devastation.  Yes, the devastation still exists, but we have come into the kingdom for such a time as this!  We are God’s elected part of the solution, working against the problems, against the devastation. Will you join us?  God is for us, so WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?  The line has been drawn, this far and no further.  It will be a privilege to die for this cause.

I speak to another wounded princess who will not be named, for she is to be protected.  She smiles, politely, but her trust has been violated and it will take time for her to trust again.  She is inspired by the innocence of children, however, and I can SO see why.  Thank you princess!  You have shown me how to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far.  Another perfect day. We go back to grandpa Joe’s house and pick up more presents, then back to another house and spend the evening with a Christmas quiz hosted by Princess Tiffany.  I forget what kind of soul Frosty the Snowman has and what my true love sent to me on the eleventh day of Christmas, but I remember Scrooge’s business partner’s name and Tiny Tim’s favorite quote. I am obviously a Dickens fan!  I surrender to the superior Christmas knowledge of my new family and know that I am privileged to have this princess by my side.  Such wonderfully full days where my eyelids fall before I have a chance to get home, let alone get to bed!  Family values.  Wow.
