2012 December 27 (Thursday) : Last day, First day

We are now tying up loose ends before my trip back to the House of Stone.  We go across to the Gem Shop once more to remove a link from my bracelet so that it fits snugly.  My princess chats happily to Princess Jessica about her plans and the fact that her head is still in a spin over the details.  I understand fully, for I can appreciate that the Lord has given this peace more fully to me so that I can do just that.  Appreciate the Gift.  Previous to this experience, the Lord’s directive “be anxious for nothing” was more of a theoretical assent whereas now it is a practical experience, a KNOWING that the Lord is in control and there is literally nothing to fear.  The way a son sleeps at night and does not go and wake his father up at 2AM to ask what food will be provided the next day.  Childlike faith.  Awesome.

Dad treats us once more to breakfast, this time at Ray’s – a cozy restaurant next door to the Gem Shop.  I choose delicious pancakes and eggs, bacon and apple juice – am feeling I have had enough caffeine at this point!  During breakfast, a phone call for me!  One of my job applications has come through and a potential employer in Wisconsin would like to interview me!  Dad and mom very kindly assent to take me across there since the town is close by and we finish up a few postal and shopping items before going across there.  This, I understand is my princess’ first time on the freeway and she performs admirably, with her father directing from the back seat and the GPS directing us from the front.  We arrive at the office and my potential future employer explains about the company and the interview process.  He is impressed with my command of English and I nail part one of the three part interview!  This sounds like a wonderful company, fully in line with the aspirations of my current global company that I am employed by.  The king advises that I do more research on them and I agree happily, for the investment climate is not what it was, so prudence pays, as always. We finish up the shopping and I develop a migraine from seemingly nowhere, but prayer and a good rest later and I am right as rain again, and we watch “What Women Want” together in the lounge.

I am delighted that the family loves this movie, for it is one that I have re-watched and my princess reminds me of this for sometimes she will simply speak her mind and this reminds me of Gibson’s character – with the ability to hear what the women around him are thinking.  What a privilege!   As his doctor tells him, “If men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, and YOU speak Venusian, the world is YOURS!”  Hollywood is capable of such poetry from time to time! Yet another perfect day and I now have a desk and wallet photo of my princess which will explain to my colleagues in the house of stone how my heart has been captured by this princess from the land of the free and the home of the brave.  I at last tumble into bed, for we have an early start in the morning.
