2012 December 31 (Monday) : Light delirium

This is the feeling I feel today as I try to get back to work. I find it difficult to do so, since my mind keeps going back to the events of the past three weeks. It is difficult to focus, and it feels a little like wading through peanut butter. My colleagues have looked after the office well in my absence, however, and there are only a couple of things to complete before getting back to catching up. I let my two bosses know my position in a resignation letter and only one boss is present, and is very understanding.
New Years celebrations are upon us, however, and we have these to think about and to take into consideration others who are due leave again. A feeling of gathering exhaustion droops my eyelids however as the day progresses and I realize that the jet lag may not have been eradicated, since I get to work even earlier than usual, having a racing mind and not being able to sleep. I decide to get an early night, since I am in no real condition to accompany others in their festivities of New Years celebrations. I hate to be a party pooper and this may sound selfish, but the truth is there is really only one person I would really like to be spending New Years with. She is with Prince Jordan this year, so I can get back to her early in the morning for my wireless connections are less numerous now and her New Year will come after mine due to the physical distance between our bodies, yet I feel there is no distance now between our hearts. Happy New Year everyone! I pray your blessings are at least twice those of 2012!
